Turkeys primarily orientate themselves visually and the eye is their main sensory organ. The stable lighting has an influence on the behaviour and growth of the animals. Continuous, flicker-free dimming creates a calming atmosphere in the stall. This significantly reduces the stress level of the animals, e.g. during singling out. A morning/twilight simulation via dimming supports the natural day-night rhythm of the animals. The low stress level also has a positive impact on the mortality rate and "pecking" in your stable. "Pecking", particularly in turkey breeding, can have a negative influence on the development of the animals.
